Ashland County, Wisconsin

Ashland County is located in Northern Wisconsin, along Lake Superior. It is named for United States senator Henry Clay's home Ashland.
The seat and largest city are both Ashland. The area is heavily wooded, and a tourist area.
Ashland County borders Iron, Price, Sawyer, and Bayfield Counties in Wisconsin, as well as Lake and Cook Counties in Minnesota and Ontonagon and Gogebic Counties in Michigan.
Main highways through the county include US-2, WI-13, WI-77 and WI-112.
